A dark red or black, soft fruit, or bramble, which grows on long, rambling canes during late summer. Each fruit consist of a large number of individual drupelets of juice, each containing a seed and all gathered in an elongated sphere. They are grown throughout the temperate Northern hemisphere and South America and usally used in pies or jams.
