A popular variety of melon, also known as Rockmelon, ranging in size from 0.5 to 5 kilograms. There are two types, the European and the North American; the former has a grey-green rind, while the latter has a brown, netted rind. It is round, with a firm orange, rich, semi-sweet flesh, and a hollow seed-filled cavity.
