Spicy Octopus

Spicy Mediterranean flavors make this octopus dish an incredible appetizer.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg octopus
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp red pepper
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp cumin
- a pinch of nutmeg & cinnamon
- 1 tbs green pepper
- 1 tbs black peppercorns
- 1 tbs all spice
- 1 tbs cloves
- 1 tbs thyme
- 1 tbs marjoram
- 1 tbs rosemary
- 3 tbs butter
- 3 tbs brandy
Procedure:
Preheat oven at 180° C.
Arrange the octopus cut in pieces in an ovenproof dish.
Sprinkle with the ingredients in the order mentioned above.
Cook covered with aluminum foil in preheated oven in medium heat until a small quantity of thick sauce is left, at least for 1 ½ hours.
If very dry, scrape the dish, after removing from the oven, with some brandy.

Believe it or not crispy chips make the perfect side dish to this rich flavor
