Herbed Bean Hummus
You are only one step away from being able to enjoy this herbed bean dip recipe. It takes the classic hummus a notch up and creatively gives it a new style! This is a perfect example of how to make a traditional recipe into something more personal and refined.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves
1/3 cup fresh basil leaves
2 tbsp grated fresh Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp pine nuts
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
2 tbsp tahini ( sesame seed paste)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 (15 ounce) can cannellini beans, or other white beans, drained
2 garlic cloves
Procedure:
Place all ingredients in a food processor.
Process until smooth, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally.
Serve with fresh toasted bread as an appetizer either bruschetta style or in a bowl for everyone to dip into!
