Baked Beef Casserole

This flavorful beef and potato baked casserole is great to warm you up on a cold winter night, and not that difficult to make.  The meat is so tender it melts in your mouth.

Ingredients:

1000 gr beef cut into cubes
olive oil
1 onion sliced
2  tomatoes, cut in four
4 potatoes cut in chunks
2 cups beef stock
salt & pepper

Procedure:

Preheat oven at 180° C.


1.  Saute the meat in the olive oil.

2.  Add the onion and  cook, covered, on low heat.

3.  Place meat an onions in a casserole dish and add the tomatoes, potatoes, beef stock  and salt. 

4.  Cover and bake for 1 hour.

5.  Add the pepper and serve.

Tips

A rich merlot wine is the perfect pair.
