Aromatic pieces of bread balls
These sesame bread balls are always a hit during soccer nights. They are baked sweet puffs of dough coated in sesame seeds with a cheesy flavor. You can match them with anything you want. Do not stick to our suggestion only. Use your imagination.
Ingredients:
250 gr of frozen shortcrust dough
2 table spoons of sesame seeds
2 table spoons of aniseed (or other herb)
3 table spoons of grated Emmental cheese
1 egg white
150 gr of German smoked ham
Pickles
Procedure:
Knead the dough together with the aniseed and the cheese. Shape the dough into small balls and place them in a round baking tin one next to the other. Beat the egg white with two table spoons of water and brush over the bread. Sprinkle sesame seeds. Bake the balls in a preheated medium heat oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes. Place the pieces of bread around a dish and the smoked ham in the center. Serve with pickles.
