Τhe Acropolis Museum's restaurant is one of the top five museum restaurants in the world, according to the online edition of the "Toronto Star", one of the most popular newspaper in Canada.

The paper based its article on reviews carried out by the website www.virtual.com in its report "Museum Restaurants: The top destinations for food."

This ranked the Acropolis Museum's restaurant between those of the Modern Art museum in New York (MOMA) and the Orsay museum in Paris.

One of the major draws is the restaurant's location, just 300 meters from the Acropolis and within easy reach for dining after visiting the monument.

Another major plus are the panoramic views of the Acropolis from the window and balcony and a menu consisting of 'home-style', traditional Greek cuisine.

Finally, the article points out, the restaurant stays open until midnight and offers a breathtaking night view of the Acropolis.
